The most vulnerable group are still young men aged 16-23. According to the British Crime Survey 2.9% of women were victims of violent crime (with 0.7% of that being domestic violence), but 15% of young men were victims of violence.
Across all age groups, men have 3.5 times the risk of stranger violence and double the risk of aquaintance violence. Men also have 0.4% risk of domestic violence, although there is some evidence that this is under reported.
