If it's sticky stuff in the keyboard, then you might be able to fix it by gently levering off the key caps in the affected area and cleaning underneath with a damp cotton bud. When you take each key off there will probably be something like a small spring and a rubber grommet underneath, and you need to be careful not to lose these. When you put the key cap back on it should click into place with a little gentle pressure.
